About Us

The Founder of Second Look combines nearly 20 years of experience across marketing, hospitality, and business consulting. She holds a Diploma in Marketing Communications specializing in Branding and Promotions, and she began her career in content creation, event marketing, and brand promotions, working with Newcap Radio and a Toronto liquor distribution agency on campaigns for brands including Jägermeister, Absolut Vodka, Steam Whistle Brewery, and Wolf Blass Wines.

After spending 10 years in restaurant and hospitality roles, progressing from bartender to management, she transitioned into marketing, leading branding, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives for foodservice, including packaged goods, and grocery retail for seven years. For the past eight years, she has provided consulting services to independent businesses and corporate franchise organizations, helping clients improve operations.

A foodie at heart, she enjoys recreating restaurant-inspired dishes at home and has dined at more than 200 restaurants throughout Alberta, from Edmonton and Calgary to communities in between. Her extensive travel throughout Alberta and British Columbia, including an average of two hotel stays per week over the last nine years, has given her valuable firsthand insight into hospitality operations, customer expectations, and guest experience.

The Founder is personally present for each Second Look and prepares all custom reports for restaurant and hotel clients. Founder-led assessments may also be requested for other services.
